Parallel Kingdom 2 is officially in development

18 years ago, in 2008, a small team in Madison, Wisconsin, launched Parallel Kingdom. It was the first game PerBlue ever made, and more than a million of you made it your own. You claimed territory on a real-world map, roamed the globe with roc feathers, built kingdoms, thrived as a community and turned rivals into lifelong friends.

Today we're proud to share the news so many of you have asked for: we're making Parallel Kingdom 2.

We want to keep the legacy of the original Parallel Kingdom. We also want to modernize its art and systems, and to build the parts of our vision we didn't have the chance to build the first time. We want it to be a game both old and new players can lose themselves in.

Many of the people who built PK are still part of the team, and they're incredibly excited to make something you'll all enjoy.

Thousands of you have already told us what you miss most, and the answer was clear: each other. Your guilds, your rivals, your families, the map and the kingdoms you built. Most of all, you want PK2 to keep the soul of what made PK special. We hear you. Our whole team has loved reading your survey responses, and we'll keep sharing our progress and asking for your thoughts along the way.

One thing remains true: we can't do this without you.

PK has always been about the people, and we want to bring this community back together and grow it bigger than ever. Our goal is to reach and surpass 10,000 sign-ups, and you're the best way to get there.

When you sign up, you get a personal share code. Send it to your old guild, your rivals and your friends.

The contest:

• +100 Food for every friend who signs up with your code and confirms their email.
• 1.4M Food (worth about $10,000) for the top 500 sharers when we reach 10,000 sign-ups, from 98,000 Food for 1st place to 840 Food each for 101st–500th.
